LOL with The N (occasionally shortened to LOL)[2] is an American stand-up comedy television series originally airing on The N.[3] It is an adaptation of Nickelodeon UK's program of the same name.[4] The series premiered on May 30, 2003[5] and aired its last episode on June 20, 2003.

Plot

Each episode features Mike Birbiglia and two aspiring teen comedians from the metropolitan areas of New York. They perform alongside professional stand-up comics. Behind-the-scenes footage, depicting the comedians preparing their routines, is shown after their acts.[6]

Broadcast and production history

Production on the series began in January 2003,[7] with filming taking place at the Gotham Comedy Club in New York City.[8] Visitors were allowed to attend the taping sessions, which commenced on January 5.[9] The series premiered in May 2003 as part of the "Summer in The N" programming event. Each episode premiered on a Friday at 7:00 PM.
