Kleitor, Achaea

Kleitor is a village and an ancient city in Achaea, Greece.[2] It is part of the municipality Kalavryta.

Ancient Kleitor was the first city in Arkadia to produce coins. They produced coins from 500 to 460 B.C. It is located at the point where the Kleitor River joins the Karnesi. A relief of the soldier-historian Polybios was found at Kleitor.
