Interpretation

To the promise of lip service
the reply is smiley tech
As long as Why? and Can’t are taboo
Feeling suffocated? Can I count on you?

No way, don’t say it’s impossible
Be a little brave with fashion
Like a group of spiky fruit
Got that sweet kick, I love ya

When the first wave starts,
it feels like you won’t get used to the commotion
Saying they approve (but really they don’t)
That minority is insignificant
They can’t scratch off our melody

"Societal expectations and limitations placed on the individual are suffocating. Be brave. Dress up. Express yourself. Start waves. Even if you feel overwhelmed by the chatter, the people who disapprove don’t really matter. Start to believe in yourself and help us change everything so we can inspire even the last person to stand up too. She made a promise, and she intends to keep it, even for a hundred or a thousand years. She’ll be your ally." Kimino Mikata translation[2] and lyrics breakdown [3] by New Hologram
