Khunda, Punjab

Khunda is a village in Jand Tehsil of Attock District in Punjab Province of Pakistan.[1] It is located at 70 km in north of Islamabad, the country's capital.[2]

Historical Personalities

Khan sahib Malik Jahan Khan from Khunda, Punjab Pakistan belonged to Jodhra tribe of Rajput clan. He was given the title of 'Khan Shahib' for his commitment and selfless service to the British government. The title was bestowed on him by Viceroy & Governor-General of India on behalf of the British Empire. The title was conferred along with a medal and a citation (SANAD).
