Katie George (sportscaster)

Katie George is an American Volleyball player, host and beauty pageant titleholder. she is also sports anchor and sideline reporter for the ACC Network. She was Miss Kentucky USA in 2015. She finished in the top 11 in Miss USA winning the ‘People Choice Award’.[1]

College

George went to the University of Louisville where she played Volleyball. She earned All-American honorable mention honors in volleyball and was the ACC setter and player of the year as a senior in 2015. She was a three-time first team all-conference selection earning accolades in the American (2013) and the ACC (2014 and 2015). She was with them for three different conferences (Big East Conference (1979-2013), American Athletic Conference, and the ACC). She graduated from Louisville magna cum laude in three years, with a degree in communications and a minor in sports administration.[2] Prior to University of Louisville, She won two state championships, earned KVCA Miss Kentucky Volleyball, and Prep Volleyball's National Player of the Year at Assumption High School (Kentucky).[3]

Career

She became a sports anchor/reporter at WDRB in Louisville, Kentucky after college.[4] She joined Fox Sports Wisconsin to cover the Milwaukee Bucks for the 2018-19 NBA season before joining the new ACC Network.[5]
