Karthik Jayaram

Jayaram Karthik is an Indian actor in the Kannada film industry. He is known for his work in the Colors Kannada television soap opera Ashwini Nakshatra, in which he played superstar actor Jay "JK" Krishna. He also acted in Siya Ke Ram as Raavana in Star Plus.[1] His first role as a lead actor came in Just Love.[2] He was second runner-up in the 2017 reality show Bigg Boss Kannada 5.

Early life

Karthik was born in Koppa, India. His father is veterinarian. He has engineering degree from BIT, with a specialization in Mechanical engineering. He later pursued his Masters in structural engineering and worked for Praxair in Dubai as a structural engineer and then moved back to Bangalore while he was still at the peak of his career. While working with Praxair his instincts in modeling and movies led him to quit the job.

Television

Karthik appeared in a television soap, Ashwini Nakshatra, portraying the role of an actor Super star "JK", that was aired on Colors Kannada. Ashwini Nakshatra had the highest TRP and was a most loved show. In 2015, he was signed to play the role of Ravana in the mythological Hindi television series Siya Ke Ram that would be aired on Star Plus. He was praised for his performance. Times now named him the best onscreen performance as Ravana. He entered the reality show Bigg Boss Kannada 5. He was one of the strong contenders, but eventually finished as second runner-up.
