Story

The Lupin Collection, a vast ensemble of dangerous items acquired by the legendary gentleman thief Arsène Lupin, was stolen by an interdimensional crime syndicate known as Gangler. The Gangler receive opposition from two Super Sentai teams: one being the Lupinrangers: Kairi Yano, Toma Yoimachi and Umika Hayami who aim to steal back the collection to not only live up their namesake's reputation but also win back those they have lost. The other team being the Patrangers: Keiichiro Asaka, Sakuya Hikawa and Tsukasa Myojin who are tasked to uphold justice by retrieving the collection and taking down Gangler members. A human drama unfolds that pits the opposing teams against each other as their tale is woven, made more intricate by mysterious origins of the Lupin Collection and its contributor Noël Takao who aids them as the fourth member in both teams with the goal of uniting them against the Gangler for his own agenda. After the Gangler are eventually defeated, the Patrangers having learned the Lupinrangers' civilian identities and motives, Noël still intends to unite the two Super Sentai teams into one true Sentai team despite being rivals.[2]

Characters

Lupinrangers

The Lupinrangers are a trio of gentleman thief who were recruited by Arsène Lupin's retainer Kogure (コグレ) while offered the chance to regain their loved ones who were taken by the Gangler member Zamigo Delma a year prior. The group are based at the Bistrot Jurer (ビストロ・ジュレ, Bisutoro Jure) as part-time workers, learning of the Patrangers's identities while concealing their own until the events of the final battle. Besides their VS Changer (VSチェンジャー, Bui Esu Chenjā) transformation firearms with the Dial Fighters (ダイヤルファイター, Daiyaru Faitā), which enable them to decode and unlock a Gangler member's safe, the Lupinrangers also use the Lupin Sword (ルパンソード, Rupan Sōdo) sidearm which doubles as a reach extender. By setting the Good Striker into the VS Changer, a Lupinranger can split into three to perform the Itadaki Strike (イタダキストライク, Itadaki Sutoraiku, Seizing Strike) finisher along with the other two Lupinrangers. By setting the Jackpot Striker into the VS Changer, Lupin Red can merge with Lupin Blue and Lupin Yellow into the tricolored Lupin Tricolor (ルパントリコロール, Rupan Torikorōru).

When fighting enlarged Gangler members, the Lupinrangers combine their Dial Fighters with Good Striker to form Lupin Kaiser (ルパンカイザー, Rupan Kaizā) via Phantom Thief Combination (快盗合体, Kaitō Gattai) whose finisher is the Good Striker Rapid-Fire Defeating Shot (グッドストライカー連射 倒れちまえショット, Guddo Sutoraikā Rensha Taorechimae Shotto). Lupin Kaiser can also assume alternate formations by normally substituting the Blue and Yellow Dial Fighters with other Dial Fighters.

But behind the façade, Kairi is a traumatized person who lost his parents as a child with the apparent death of his older brother Shori Yano (夜野 勝利, Yano Shōri) being the reason he became a Lupinranger and going berserk at the sight of Zamigo.
