History

The station went on the air as KQDI-FM in the early 1980s. Since 1984, it broadcasts a top-40 format and an affiliate of Rick Dees Weekly Top-40 as K-106. On September 1st, 1985, the station changed its call sign to KOOZ-FM. On January 1, 1989 it changed to the current KQDI-FM. The very first song played was Led Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll" (been a long time since I Rock and Rolled), the DJ was Great Falls' legendary Bob Pepper.[1]
