At noon on July 29, 2013, the station stopped simulcasting 1370 KJCE and launched an Urban AC format as "96.3 RnB". The first song on "RnB" was Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke featuring T.I. and Pharrell.

On March 31, 2017, 96.3 R&B moved to 95.9 FM and changed calls to K240EL in order to eliminate interference with 96.3 KGID Giddings.

On October 31, 2018, at 3 PM, 95.9 flipped to classic hip hop as "Hot 95.9". [1]
