K. Thavalingam
Kanagaratnam Thavalingam is a Sri Lankan geographer and retired as Surveyor General of Sri Lanka.(2013-2014)

Thavalingam is from Navatkuly in northern Sri Lanka. He was educated at the Jaffna Hindu College.[1][2] He is a fellow of the Surveyors Institute (of Sri Lanka) and a member of the institute's council (2013).[3][4] Presently working as Chairman, Delimitation Commission, appointed by HE the President of Sri Lanka.
Thavalingam was Senior Deputy Surveyor General(2001-2005) and Additional Surveyor General(2005-2013). Worked as Director, Institute of Surveying and Mapping, Diyatalawa (1996-1998; 2002-2004). Chairman, Land Survey Council (2013-2014)[5][6] He became the 45th Surveyor General in 2013.[7][8]
