Jody Wynn

Jody Wynn is an American women's basketball coach who is the current head coach at Washington.[1]

High school

Jody Wynn was a prep standout at Brea Olinda High School, playing under coach Mark Trakh. She earned CIF-Southern Section and Orange County Player of the Year honors in 1991 and 1992. She was also tabbed a USA Today and Street & Smith's honorable mention All-American.[2]

Wynn played forward and was a four-year starter at Brea Olinda. She scored 16 points per game as a senior. In her four years, The Ladycats had a 129-6 record and won three California state championships. [3]

College

She attended USC and earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science from USC in 1996 and attained a master's in education from Pepperdine in 2000. During her playing career (1993-96), the USC Trojans had a cumulative record of 79-35 (.693), they won the 1994 Pac-10 Conference championship, and they made three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances from 1993 to '95. Wynn played for three head coaches while at USC: Marianne Stanley (1993), Cheryl Miller (1994-95), and Fred Williams (1996). Wynn's best statistical season came as a junior in 1995. She started 27 games and she averaged 8.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per contest.[4] She had career-ending ankle surgery in her senior year.[5]

Coaching career

Long Beach State

On April 7, 2009, Wynn was named head coach of the Long Beach State Women's Basketball program.[6]

Washington

On April 14, 2017, Wynn was named head coach of the Washington Women's Basketball program.[7]

Personal life

Jody Anton married Derek Wynn in 2000. They have two daughters. [5]
