Geography
Jindřichovice pod Smrkem is located 13 kilometers northeast of Frýdlant, 26 kilometers northeast of Liberec and 115 kilometers northeast of Prague.
The municipality is bordered by Poland to the north and east, Nové Město pod Smrkem to the south, and Horní Řasnice to the west.
History
The first written mention of the village was in 1381.
