Jared Hauser

Jared Hauser (born 1971), is an American Associate Professor of oboe at Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music in Nashville, Tennessee. He also teaches at the Interlochen Center for the Arts and the National Music Festival. From 2003-2009 he was principal oboist of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and faculty at the Lynn Conservatory of Music.[1] On March 27, 2014 Hauser premiered Monk's Oboe for oboe and string quartet by American composer Libby Larsen.

Professor Hauser received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, an Artist's Diploma from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and his Master of Music degree from the Rice University Shepherd School of Music. He did additional studies at the Michigan State University College of Music.
