Jalalabad Cantonment
Jalalabad Cantonment (Bengali: জালালাবাদ ক্যান্টনমেন্ট)[1] is a cantonment located in Sylhet, Bangladesh.
Jalalabad Cantonment is the home of the Bangladesh Army's 17th Infantry Division, and also the School of Infantry & Tactics (SI&T) of the Bangladesh Army.
In this regard, the cantonment is the headquarters of the Bangladesh Army in Sylhet Division, and serves as the station headquarters of the General Officer Commanding (GOC; a major general) the 17th Infantry Division. GOC 17th Infantry Division is the senior Bangladesh Army officer in Sylhet Division.
