Ion Dumitru

Ion Dumitru (born 2 January 1950 in Bucureşti), commonly known as Liță Dumitru, is a Romanian former professional footballer, and manager who played as a midfielder from 1967 until 1989.

He is currently a coach at Kalonji Soccer Academy and their youths team KSA PRO-PROFILE in Atlanta, Georgia.

Career

A Romanian international, Dumitru represented his country at the 1970 FIFA World Cup.[1] Regarded as one of Romania's greatest players he won the Romanian Footballer of the Year in 1973 and 1975.[2]
