Io e mia sorella

Io e mia sorella (internationally released as Me and My Sister and My Sister and I) is a 1987 Italian romantic comedy-drama film written, directed and starred by Carlo Verdone.[1] For this film Elena Sofia Ricci was awarded with a David di Donatello for Best Supporting Actress and a Silver Ribbon in the same category.[2] The film also won a Silver Ribbon for best actress (Ornella Muti) and a David di Donatello for Best Script.[2]

Plot

Serena and Carlo are happily married in Italy, but the arrival of his sister Silvia, disrupts the peaceful family balance. In fact the woman, when was a young girl, went in Hungary and married an athlete with whom she had a son. But now the couple, when comes to Hungary for a promise made to dying mother of Carlo, discovers that Silvia's husband had a serious accident and now is paralyzed. So it's up to Carlo and Serena helping the poor Silvia to look after the baby.
