Iftikhar Ali Khan (footballer)

Iftikhar Ali Khan is a Pakistani footballer who plays for Khan Research Laboratories as a forward. He was club's top-scorer in 2018–19 season, scoring 12 goals in 25 appearances.[1]

Club career

Pak Afghan Clearing

He made his debut for Pak Afghan Clearing on 24 November 2014 against Sindh Government Press in 2014–15 Pakistan Football Federation League.[2] He scored his first senior goal in his second appearance for the club against Karachi United, scoring the only goal of the game in the 75th minute.[3] He scored his team's only goal in a 3–1 loss to Gwadar Port Authority, he scored in the 86th minute.[4]

He made his National Football Challenge Cup debut in 2014, he made only one appearance for the club in a 5–2 loss to K-Electric.[5]

WAPDA

He joined WAPDA after the conclusion of 2014–15 season. He made his only appearance for WAPDA in the final group stage match of 2015 NBP National Challenge Cup, where he was substituted off in 39th minute for Ahsan Ali as WAPDA lost 2–0 to Pakistan Air Force.[6]

Khan Research Laboratories

He joined Khan Research Laboratories in 2018–19 season. He was not selected in the squad for 2018 National Challenge Cup. He made his debut for Khan Research Laboratories in their opening match of 2018-19 Pakistan Premier League against National Bank in a 3–0 win, he scored his first senior hat-trick in that match, scoring in 29th, 35th and 64th minutes.[7] He scored his fourth goal on the third matchday in 1–1 draw against Sui Northern Gas, scoring the opening goal in 30th minute.[8] He scored the third goal for Khan Research Laboratories in a 3–0 win over Baloch Nushki.[9] He was substituted off against rivals K-Electric at 67th minute in a 1–1 draw.[10] On 1 November 2018, he scored his sixth goal of the season, breaking the deadlock in 76th minute as Khan Research Laboratories defeated Afghan Chaman 3–0.[11] On 17 December, he scored the equalizer against his former club WAPDA as Khan Research Laboratories drew the game 1-1 after trailing for 49 minutes.[12] On 13 January 2019, he scored the opening goal against Sui Southern Gas, as Khan Research Laboratories won 4–0 to win the league for the record fifth time.[13]
