In the main event, Shane Douglas defended the ECW World Television Championship against Pitbull #1. Predominant matches on the card were Brian Lee versus Terry Funk and The Eliminators versus Axl Rotten and D-Von Dudley for the ECW World Tag Team Championship. House Party marked the ECW debut of Rick Rude in the disguise of a masked man, who confronted Douglas before the main event match.

Event

Preliminary matches

In the opening match of the show, Chris Candido defeated Louie Spicolli by sitting down on a sunset flip by Spicolli. After the match, Shane Douglas and Brian Lee attacked Spicolli until Pitbull #2 made the save. He did not sell Lee's Primetime Slam and made The Triple Threat retreat from the ring.

Next, Mikey Whipwreck defeated Spike Dudley.

Next, The Eliminators (John Kronus and Perry Saturn) defended the ECW World Tag Team Championship against Axl Rotten and D-Von Dudley. Eliminators nailed a Total Elimination to Rotten to retain the titles.

Next, The Gangstas (Mustafa Saed and New Jack) took on Ricky Morton and Tommy Rich. Jack hit a 187 on Rich for the win. After the match, Morton and Rich fought each other, leading to a match between the two. Rich pinned Morton with a roll-up for the win.

This was followed by Mike Awesome defeating Balls Mahoney.

In the following match, Pitbull #2 took on Buh Buh Ray Dudley. Before the match started, Shane Douglas put a bounty on Pitbull's head and The Bad Crew, Axl Rotten and D-Von Dudley tried to take out Pitbull but Pitbull and Buh Buh fought them off and then Douglas distracted Pitbull enough for Brian Lee and Chris Candido to attack Pitbull and Buh Buh. Lee drove Pitbull through a table with a Primetime Slam.

Next, Brian Lee competed against Terry Funk. Shane Douglas and Chris Candido interfered in the match to distract Funk enough for Lee to hit a Primetime Slam to Funk off the apron through the table. Douglas and Candido rolled Funk back into the ring and Lee pinned him for the win.

Main event match

Shane Douglas was originally scheduled to defend the ECW World Television Championship against Pitbull #2 but Pitbull #2 had been injured by Triple Threat earlier at the event, so a masked man came to confront Douglas. Pitbull #1 would then compete against Douglas for the title. He cleared Triple Threat from the ring and Douglas retreated from the ring, thus retaining the title by getting counted out.
