Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies

The Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies is a community of Ph.D, master's, and certificate program students at the University of Michigan.[1] Funded in 1935 by an endowment from Mary Rackham, widow of one of the original stockholders in the Ford Motor Company,[2] the Rackham Graduate School is housed in the Rackham Education Memorial Building.[3]

The Reading Room is one of study areas in the Rackham building.

The building was designed by William Kapp of the firm Smith, Hinchman & Grylls with architectural sculpture by Corrado Parducci.[4]
