History
A post office was established in the community in 1906, and named for Ralph Augustus Hellier, the head of a Pike County coal mining company.[3]
Documentary
On January 18, 2019, a documentary series released by Planet Weird was created that aimed to showcase an alleged conspiracy regarding goblins, UFOs, and other Fortean subjects in Hellier, Kentucky.[4]
