Plot

The film is the story of Cyrus (Jake Short) a computer geek who has a strange nose. The story begins with an ongoing pep rally at the highschool, where Christian(the new kid) spots Roxanne and asks about her, while Cyrus hacks into the school system and disgraces a football jock sending a nude to Roxanne. Later, Cyrus is caught and is given detention in the computer lab. Brownie confronts him about telling Roxy, his long time crush, how he feels, but Cyrus is insistent on not letting her know how he feels because of his nose. Brownie advices him to chill about his nose because no one really cares. But Cyrus is self conscious. And even if he tries to hide behind his bold exterior, he is inferior about his nose and cares a great deal what people think. Roxy calls almost immediately and thanks him for what he did, then asks that they meet up the next day.She says she wants to tell him something super important. A happy Cyrus thinks she might like him back. He goes to see her the next day. While writing a letter to her (on Brownie's insistence), Roxy appears. He hides it immediately. Roxy starts to tell him that she likes someone. Cyrus is hopeful that it may be him. However, Roxy breaks his hopeful gaze when she says it's a new kid Christian and she's sure he likes her too. Cyrus is heart broken but ends up agreeing to help Roxy. Cyrus throws the letter he wrote for Roxy into the trash bin, Brownie picks it up without his knowledge and slips it into Roxy's locker. At the lunch spot, Cyrus is insulted by Christian who those this to stop a blonde bully from harassing Cyrus. Cyrus tries to get back at Christian but stops when he is told his name by Lynn. He proceeds to talk to Christian about Roxy. Christian is unsure of how to begin to talk to Roxy, so Cyrus helps.

Reception

Renee Schonfeld of Common Sense Media awarded the film three stars out of five. Michael also liked it but gave a much harsher criticism of two and a half stars. He later commented that he gave it such a low score because he did not receive his chicken Alfredo from Olive Garden quick enough.[2]
