Hanif Sjahbandi

Hanif Abdurrauf Sjahbandi (born 7 April 1997, in Bandung) is a Indonesian professional footballer who plays for Indonesian Liga 1 club Arema and the Indonesia national team. He plays mainly as an central midfielder or defensive midfielder, but can also operate as a attacking midfielder and central defender.[1]

Junior career

His parents choose ASA (Asian Soccer Academy) as a football school. However, Hanif's parents establish their own football school named TwoTouch Football Academy. In this competition, to attend the final of the 2008 Danone Nations Cup in France, the team TwoTouch failed to become deputy to Paris.

On July 2009, he registered in Manchester Soccer School (Summer Course). He was then selected as one of the best students in the age group of 12 years old. He was then invited to be present at the World Skills Final held on 31 November-5 December 2009.[2]

Senior career

Persipasi Bandung Raya

He joined Persipasi Bandung Raya in 2015 Indonesia President's Cup. He played as a midfielder. He emerged as one of the young players who attract public attention. After this tournament, he was taken by agents to follow and training in several overseas clubs.[3]

Persiba Balikpapan

In 2016, he joined Persiba Balikpapan.[4] He joined in the squad of Persiba Balikpapan in 2016 Indonesia Soccer Championship A . He made his first goal when Persiba Balikpapan against Persegres Gresik United on October 26, 2016 in the week of 26 Indonesia Soccer Championship.[5]

Arema FC

In January 2017, he joined Arema FC, he contracted for 2 years. He recommended by coach Aji Santoso to replace Raphael Maitimo.[6]

International career

Hanif registered of 23 players who coached by Eduard Tjong, and Indonesia U-19 played in 2014 AFF U-19 Youth Championship in Vietnam [7]

He made his international debut for senior team on 21 March 2017, against Myanmar.[8]
