Haidar Mahmoud

Haidar Mahmoud Majeed, alternatively Heidar Mahmoud (Arabic: حيدر محمود مجيد) (born 19 September 1973) was an Iraqi football Defender who played for Iraq in the 1996 AFC Asian Cup & 2000 AFC Asian Cup.[1] He also played club football with Al Zawraa for 10 years.

Haidar Mahmoud was one of the best wing-backs in Asia and is also one of the first names on the Iraqi team sheet. The right-sided defender scored 2 goals in a 4-1 win over Thailand in the 1996 Asian Cup in the Emirates and scored one in the 2000 Asian Cup in Lebanon in a 2-0 win, also over Thailand.[2]
