Gwlad Gwlad

Gwlad Gwlad (English: Land, Land) is a Welsh political party.[1] It was launched in the summer of 2018 as Ein Gwlad (English: Our Land).[2][3] The party was founded by current leader Gwyn Wigley Evans.[4][5]

The party describes itself as pro-independence, pro-Brexit and centre-right.[2]

The party put up three candidates in the 2019 United Kingdom general election: Siân Caiach in Cardiff Central; Gwyn Wigley Evans in Montgomeryshire; and Laurence Williams in Vale of Glamorgan.[6] These seats are where Plaid Cymru did not stand as part of the Remain Alliance with the Liberal Democrats and Green Party.[2][7]
