Goytre

Goytre is a village near the town of Port Talbot, South Wales, Wales (Welsh: Goetre) as you see on a sign as you enter the village.

The former St Peter's Church (Church in Wales) was a 'tin tabernacle' opened in 1915. Situated on East Street and Goytre Road. It closed down in late 2017. Also as of 2019 it has been put up for sale since its closure.

The local football team is Goytre United F.C. who are based at Glenhafod Park Stadium.[2]

Geography

Goytre or Goetre (English: Three Trees) is a rural village community, It is a settlement centered on the main road being, Goytre Road, located between the communities of Taibach, Cwmafan, Bryn, Neath Port Talbot and Margam.

It has the Nant Ffrwdwyllt right down the bottom of the village hills. it's located inside a valley.
