Gonzalo Cabrera

Gonzalo Cabrera (born 15 January 1989) is an Argentine-Iraqi winger who plays for Johor Darul Ta'zim in the Malaysia Super League.

Career

Cabrera was born in 2003 in Buenos Aires, where he made his first steps in the academies of Boca Juniors. In Boca Juniors he remained up to 2010 while it was given on loan to Deportivo Cali. In August 2010 he was given on loan to Cypriot club Doxa Katokopias. With Doxa he played in 18 matches and scored 3 goals. On January 31, 2011, he moved again on loan to AEK Larnaca until the end of the 2010-11 season, playing in 12 matches and scoring 1 goal.[1]

Cabrera was influential player for the Johor Darul Ta'zim in their first season scoring 19 goals and contributing another five assists.[2] He play with JDT season 2017 under an Argentine passport, in second season, he signed for JDT as the Asian player with an Iraqi passport.[2]
