Ghungrila

Ghungrila (Urdu: گُھنگريله) is a town in Gujar Khan Tehsil Punjab, Pakistan. Gungrila is also chief town of Union Council Gungrila which is an administrative subdivision of the Tehsil.[1] It is located at 33°18'0"North, 73° 15' 0" East.[2]

History

Ghungrila is a fair size town of gujar khan tehsil, before partition it contains a large amount of notable Sikh population. After the partition a large clash was occurred between the Sikhs and Muslims of the neighboring villages of Mohra Malkan and Mohra Damyal and force them to leave the town, after that many disputed Kashmiri families settled there.

Most of the land in Gungrila is own by the raja families of Mohra Malkan and Mohra Damyal.
