Ghonda[1] is a Legislative Assembly district of Delhi, India. It is an affluent residential area of North East Delhi district. Ajay Mahawar is the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of this area. Manoj Tiwari is the member of national Lok Sabha (Parliament)from this area. Well known advocate, Sarfraz Ahmed From Sarai Ghasi also lives in this area in C block Yamuna Vihar.

Background
Ghonda covers a major area of trans Yamuna like Subhash Vihar, North Ghonda, Bhajnpura, Pahadi mauhalla, Gamri, Yamuna Vihar. Old Ch. Hansraj Dairy and Nagar Dairy and Brahman mohalla are the Famous Markets of Ghonda Vidhan Sabha which was established by PT. Chiranji lal Sharma Ch. Hansraj and Ch. Dharam Singh Nagar respectively.
Politics
The former MLA of this area was Shri Dutt Sharma (Aam Aadmi Party, AAP), but in the assembly election of 2020 this seat has won by Ajay Mahawar. In 2003 Lok Sabha election it elected Sandeep Dikshit (INC), but in the 2009 Lok Aabha election North East Delhi elected Jai Prakash Aggrawal. And in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections and than in 2020, Manoj Tiwari of Bhartiya Janta Party was elected as the Member of Parliament.
