Georges Mukumbilwa (born September 23, 1999) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays for Vancouver Whitecaps FC as a midfielder.

Club career

Early life

Mukumbilwa was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo but grew up in a refugee camp in Rwanda.[1] He began his career with Portage FC before joining the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy.[2]

Vancouver Whitecaps FC

Mukumbilwa signed as a homegrown player for the Whitecaps and made pre-season appearances in August 2019.[3] On October 6, 2019, Mukumbilwa made his first MLS appearance with for Vancouver Whitecaps FC, coming on as a substitute in the 80th minute of a 1–0 defeat to Real Salt Lake.[4]
