George Paterson (rower)

George Murray Paterson (born 6 November 1940) is a former New Zealand rower.[1]

At the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games he won the gold medal as part of the coxed four event alongside crew members Keith Heselwood, Douglas Pulman, Hugh Smedley and Winston Stephens.[2]

Paterson competed at the 1964 Olympics in the eights event.[3] His younger brother Gary is also a retired Olympic rower.[1]
