Geely Binyue

The Geely Binyue (Chinese: 吉利缤越; pinyin: Jí lì bīn yuè) is a subcompact crossover SUV produced by Chinese auto manufacturer Geely since August 22, 2018.[3][4] It is sold in international markets as the Geely Coolray.

The new car was formerly named "SX11" and renamed in August 2018 to Binyue. The Geely Binyue was positioned between the Geely Emgrand GS and the Geely Boyue within Geely's crossover portfolio,[5] and is the first crossover based on the BMA platform. The Binyue 260T Sport Versions carry two unique "Geely Sport" logos, which are different from the former Earth Logo.

Markets

Malaysia

PROTON Holdings secured the intellectual properties to the design, development, manufacture, sale, marketing and distribution of the Geely Binyue alongside the Boyue and Jiaji.[6] Camouflaged Geely Binyue's were seen being tested on public roads in Malaysia since February 2019.[7][8] It is expected to launch with name of Proton X50 after Proton have filed a trademark with Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia.[9]

Philippines

In the Philippines, the Binyue is sold as the Coolray. It was launched in September 25, 2019 and it marks Geely's return to the Philippines market.[1][2]

Belarus

In Belarus, the Coolray was launched on February 12, 2020. It is assembled by BelGee, a joint-venture between Geely and BelAZ.

Russia

The Coolray was launched in Russia on February 27, 2020.

Safety

Level 2 automated driving system with Intelligent Cruise Control with follow traffic up to 150 km/hr plus change lanes autonomously and Automated Parking assist. [10]
