Gaurav Taneja is an Indian Aircraft Pilot, Fitness expert and a YouTube personality from Delhi. He is well known for his two YouTube channels Flying Beast and FitMuscle TV.[1][2][3]

Early life and education
Gaurav Taneja was born on 12 July 1986, in Kanpur. He pursued Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and graduated in the year 2008. He was the General Secretary Sports at his alma-mater. He was also the Gold Medalist in weightlifting from 2006 to 2008 at the Inter IIT Sports Meet.[4]
Career
As Pilot
After completing his graduation, he completed his flying training in 2010 from US.[5] In 2011, he started his airline career. In April 2019, Taneja switched from IndiGo to AirAsia India.[6] In January 2020, he was one of the six creators from the Asia Pacific to meet former President of the United States Barack Obama in Singapore, show being was organized by Google.[7]
Recently, he has been in news for whistleblowing alleged violations of safety norms by the AirAsia India.[8][9] As a result, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) India has initiated an investigation on the airlines.[10][11][12]
As YouTuber
Taneja is known for his YouTube channels. His channels, FlyingBeast and Fit Muscle TV, have 3 million and 1.47 million subscribers respectively. FlyingBeast is a travel video log and lifestyle channel where he shares his travel-related experiences and other things related to his personal life.[13] Fit Muscle TV is a fitness channel where he provides tips and guidance for people in bodybuilding.[14][15]
