Galipeau Island

Galipeau Island is a Canadian island in Georgian Bay, Lake Huron.[1]

Geography

Galipeau Island is located in the province of Ontario, in the southeastern part of the country, 400 km west of the Canada's capital, Ottawa. The island is 87.8 km away from the nearest airport, Muskoka Airport.[2] The area is part of the Hemiboreal climate zone.[3] The average annual temperature on the island is 3 °C. The warmest month is July, when the average temperature is 18 °C, and the coldest is February, by -19 °C.[4] The rainiest month is October, with an average of 191 mm rainfall, and the driest is February, with 66 mm rainfall.[5]
