History

Fribourg Olympic played seven times the old EuroLeague as Swiss champions. In all that time, the club only qualified two times for the second round by winning their previous series.

In 2007, Fribourg Olympic played the 2007–08 ULEB Cup regular season, but ended in the last position of their group.

In 2016, Fribourg won its first Swiss Basketball League title since eight years. In the 2017–18 season, Fribourg won its seventeenth national title. Following its title, the club made its debut in the qualifying rounds of the Basketball Champions League (BCL), finally reaching, on 4 October 2018, the regular season[1] after beating in three qualifying rounds, in order Avtodor Saratov, Donar and Sakarya BB.
