Eran-asan-kerd-Kawad

Eran-asan-kerd-Kawad or Iran asan kar(t) Kavad (Middle Persian: 𐭠𐭩𐭫𐭠𐭭𐭠𐭮𐭠𐭭𐭪𐭫𐭪𐭥𐭠𐭲 ʾylʾnʾsʾnklkwʾt,[1] meaning "Kavad [has] made Ērān peaceful") was a Sasanian city or province founded by Kavad I (r. 488–496, 498–531). Located to the north of Susa ("Eran-Khwarrah-Shapur"), Eran-asan-kerd-Kawad was probably located in the Holvan region, and may have therefore, if being a province, bordered Syarazur (Shahrizor) and Garamig. Its original Aramaic name was Kark[h]a de Ledan and was named Eranshahr-Shapur by Shapur II (r. 309–379) before being renamed Eran-asan-kerd-Kawad under Kavad I.
