Born in Stockholm, Sweden, his footballing idol growing up was David Beckham and he supported Manchester United. Krafth began his career at lower-division side Lagans AIK. It was with AIK that he made his senior debut in 2010, aged just 16.[2] In 2011, he joined Östers IF in the Swedish second division.[2] He debuted for the club at 17 years old and after an impressive first season in the Superettan, he earned a move to first division side Helsingborgs IF in January 2012. In 2015, he swapped Sweden for Italy as he joined Serie A outfit Bologna.[2]
In August 2018, Krafth joined Ligue 1 side Amiens SC on a season-long loan from Bolgona.[3] He made 35 appearances in the French top flight while on loan and joined Amiens on a permanent transfer in June 2018 after the two clubs agreed to a €2m transfer.[3]
Newcastle United
Krafth signed a four-year deal with Premier League club Newcastle United in August 2019 after the side reached a £5m deal with Amiens SC.[3] He made his debut for the club on 19 August as Newcastle were defeated by Norwich City 3–1, thanks to a hat-trick from Norwich striker Teemu Pukki.[4]
International career
Krafth became the fifth youngest person ever to play in the Sweden U21 team, being 17 years and 309 days old when he played in Sweden U21s' match against Malta on 6 June 2012.[5][6]
