Ellie Hack

Ellie Hack (born 12 June 2002) is an English[1] professional footballer who plays as a defender for Brighton & Hove Albion of the FA Women's Super League.[1]

Club career

Hack made her Brighton debut on 10 January 2019, coming on in the 59th minute to replace Danielle Buet in a 7–1 defeat against Manchester City in the WSL Cup.[2] Later that month, on the 27th January, Hack made her league debut in a 3–0 away loss at Manchester City in the FA Women's Super League.[3]

International career

In April 2016, Hack captained the England Schools’ under-15 girls to win the Bob Docherty Cup.[4] To win the cup, they beat Wales, Republic of Ireland and Scotland and got a clean sheet in each of those games.[4]

In September 2018, Hack was called up to the England U17's squad for the first round of U17 Euro qualifiers against Moldova, Azerbaijan and Iceland. Hack made her U17's debut in the first game against Moldova coming on in the 83rd minute for Keri Mathews in a 6–0 win.[5] Hack started the following game against Azerbaijan and scored England's final in a 7–0 win. Hack was also called up to play in the elite round of Euro qualifying of which they qualified as group 1 winners. Hack was also included in the 2019 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship squad in May 2019 and featured in a 2–1 win in the group stage against Austria.[6]
