Edward S. Merrill

Edward Strong Merrill (c. 1880 – March 29, 1951) was an American track athlete and college football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Lawrence University (1902), Colorado College (1903) and Occidental College (1905–1906).[1] Merrill attended Beloit College in Wisconsin, starring in football, baseball, and track before graduating in 1902. He died on March 29, 1951, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 71.[2]
