Diogo Queirós

Diogo Lucas Queirós (born 5 January 1999) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for FC Porto as a central defender.

This name uses Portuguese naming customs: the first or maternal family name is Lucas and the second or paternal family name is Queirós.

Club career

Born in Matosinhos, Porto District, Queirós joined FC Porto's youth system at the age of 11 from local club Leixões SC.[2] He made his debut as a senior on 27 August 2017, playing 90 minutes for the reserve team in a 1–0 home win against C.D. Santa Clara for the LigaPro;[3] the previous June, he had renewed his contract until 2021.[2]

On 27 August 2019, Queirós was loaned to Royal Excel Mouscron of the Belgian First Division A.[4] His maiden appearance in the competition took place three days later, in a 2–2 away draw to KV Mechelen.[5]
