History

According to local legend, this village was founded 1500 years ago by a man named Mohd Abdul and was named after him. In 1857, this village became a theatre scene of India's first Independence War, in which the 14 local martyr men lost their lives. Their bodies were buried by the English Officials with the 1 dog under old Martyr memorial (nearby primary pathshala and Dhaulana vegetable market), only to give a threatening message to the local people.
