Overview

Dhamaal (2007)

It is about four friends; Boman Contractar (Aashish Chaudhary), who lives a wealthy lifestyle with his eccentric dad, Nari Contractar (Asrani), who loves his antique car more than his son, and asks his son to leave when he damages the car; dim-witted Manav Srivastav (Jaaved Jaffrey), his elder brother Adi Srivastav (Arshad Warsi), minor con who fools people as a good street saxophonist; and Desh Bandhu Roy a.k.a. " Roy" (Ritesh Deshmukh), a former detective who wears a magnetized belt buckle. Their fortunes take a turn after they accidentally bump into an underworld don Bose (Prem Chopra) whilst he is about to die, who tells them about a treasure in Goa which was ₹10 crores hidden under a big 'W' in Saint Sabestian Garden. The group race towards Goa in Nari's stolen car, little knowing that their plans will soon be foiled, albeit hilariously, by Police Inspector Kabir Naik (Sanjay Dutt), who wants the money at any cost. Kabir meets those 'four friends' and tries make a deal. They go to Goa individually due to circumstances and discover the big 'W'. They take the money, but accidentally they come to a charity function with a huge amount of money and they have to give the money to orphan children.

Double Dhamaal (2011)

The story continues from the previous film. The four good-for-nothing friends Roy (Ritesh), Adi (Arshad), Manav (Jaaved) and Boman (Aashish), are still conning people for a living. One day, they see their enemy Kabir (Sanjay Dutt) driving a luxurious Mercedes Benz, and disguise themselves to find out the secret behind his success. They investigate and find that he lives off his wife's wealth. They then blackmail him into making them his business partners, but little do the four idiots know that Kabir and his wife Kamini (Mallika) along with his sister Kiya (Ranaut) have an agenda of their own. Kabir connects them with an investor named Bata Bhai (Satish Kaushik) who is also a part-time don. The four friends steal Bata Bhai's money, and the money is then stolen by Kabir and his family. Kabir leaves the country along with his family and leaves the four idiots to get killed by Bata Bhai. However, the four friends leave the city and manage to track Kabir down in Macau. They make a plan to ruin Kabir's happiness and take their money back by going in disguise. Roy cons Kiya by pretending to be in love with her, whilst Adi pretends to be Kabir's secretary.

Total Dhamaal (2019)

The film does not continue the story from the previous films and is a fresh story.

Guddu (Ajay Devgn) and Jonny (Sanjay Mishra), small-time conmen get double-crossed of their illegal booty by their own colleague Pintu (Manoj Pahwa) after which starts a mad crazy adventure between Guddu-Jonny and 4 other groups i.e. Avinash (Anil Kapoor) and Bindu (Madhuri Dixit) - a bickering couple about to be divorced; Roy (Lallan) (Riteish Deshmukh) and Jhingur (Pitobash Tripathy) - Fire officers turned offenders; a police commissioner (Boman Irani) and his sidekick Inspector (Vijay Patkar); and two weird siblings Aditya (Arshad Warsi) and Manav (Javed Jaffrey) for 50 crore (US$7.0 million) which was hidden by Pintu in Omkar Zoo in Janakpur.

Full On Dhamaal (TBA)

After the trailer release of Total Dhamaal, in an interview, director Indra Kumar said that another Dhamaal sequel is definitely on the cards and added that he has already registered two titles - Triple Dhamaal and Full On Dhamaal - for the next installment of the franchise. With the third film named Total Dhamaal, the fourth film will most probably be titled Full On Dhamaal.[2]

Sanjay Dutt and Aashish Chaudhary who were part of first two films but not the third film are expected to return for the fourth film along with Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey.
