Dexter Walters (born 4 December 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays for League One side Coventry City, where he plays as a winger.

Playing career

Romulus

Walters began his career playing for non-league Romulus.[3][4]

Tamworth

On 2 August 2017, National League North side Tamworth, along with Regan Upton and Sam Coulson.[5]

Walters made his league debut for Tamworth on 23 December 2017, coming on as a 64th minute substitute for Zack Kotwica in a 3–0 home loss to Leamington.[6]

On 15 February 2018, Tamworth allowed Dexter Walters and Regan Upton to join Sutton Coldfield Town on loan to gain some first team football, Walters joined on dual registration, whilst Upton joined on a one-month loan deal.[7]

Following on from Tamworth being relegated to Southern League Premier Central, Dexter signed a new one-year contract with the club on 15 June 2018.[8]

Coventry City

Walters signed for Coventry City on 3 August 2018, the player signed a two-year deal, and would link up with the club's under-23 squad.[9]

Dexter made his debut in the EFL Trophy on 9 October 2018, coming on as an 82nd minute substitute for Tony Andreu in a game against Forest Green Rovers, the game finished 1-1, but Coventry City progressed on penalties.[10]

In October 2019, Dexter joined Leamington on a youth loan.[11]

He was released by Coventry at the end of the 2019–20 season.[12]
