Robert ChristgauA−[2]

Robert Christgau gave it a favorable review, calling it "fuller and jazzier than Blank Generation without any loss of concision".[2] Mark Deming of AllMusic called it "looser and more spontaneous than Hell's debut, but it's just as smart and every bit as powerful, and it's a more-than-worthy follow-up" that "[showed Hell had] actually grown since his debut".[1]

Destiny Street Repaired

In 2008 and 2009, frontman Richard Hell re-recorded the lead guitars of the album, using guitarists Marc Ribot, Bill Frisell and Ivan Julian, and re-recorded his own lead vocals. The result was reissued as Destiny Street Repaired in 2009. This "repaired" version is available only from its online label Insound and from Hell's own website.
