David Harsanyi

David Harsanyi is a conservative writer, opinion columnist, and author in the United States.

Career

Harsanyi is a nationally syndicated writer, senior writer at National Review and columnist at the New York Post,[1]. He is a former senior editor of The Federalist,[2], editor of Human Events and opinion columnist and at The Denver Post.[3] His writings on politics and culture have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Weekly Standard, Washington Post, USA Today, Reason, Jerusalem Post, The Globe and Mail, and other publications.[4]

His column is nationally syndicated by Creators Syndicate. Harsanyi is author of First Freedom: A Ride Through America's Enduring History with the Gun, The People Have Spoken (and They Are Wrong): The Case Against Democracy, Obama's Four Horsemen: The Disasters Unleashed by Obama's Reelection and Nanny State: How Food Fascists, Teetotaling Do-Gooders, Priggish Moralists, and other Boneheaded Bureaucrats are Turning America into a Nation of Children.[5] He left his position writing op-eds for The Denver Post to work for TheBlaze.[6]

Personal life

Harsanyi's family defected from communist Hungary.[7] He is Jewish[8] and an atheist.[9]
