Dan Dare (Fawcett Comics)
Dan Dare is a fictional character who had his own strip in Fawcett Comics' Whiz Comics (appearing in its first issue dated February 1940).
A skilled detective and crime fighter (helped by his assistant Carol Clews), Dare's adventures appeared in Whiz Comics during the title's earliest years.
The character is unrelated to the better known British science fiction comic hero of the same name.
