Daishibashi Station

Daishibashi Station (大師橋駅, Daishibashi-eki) is a railway station on the Keikyū Daishi Line in Kawasaki-ku, Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Keikyu.

History

The station opened on June 1, 1944 with the name Sangyōdōro Station (産業道路駅, Sangyōdōro-eki). From June 1, 1948, it became a station on the Keihin Electric Express Railway. The station building was rebuilt in 1968. Construction to convert the station to an underground station due to traffic congestion on the Sangyo-doro Avenue was completed on March 2, 2019.

The station was renamed Daishibashi Station (大師橋駅, Daishibashi-eki) on 14 March 2020. The name is being changed for the station's adjacency to the Daishi Bridge linking Kawasaki City to Tokyo's Ōta Ward.[1]
