Collector Gari Abbai
Collector Gari Abbayi is a 1987 Telugu Action drama film, produced by Yarlagadda Surendra under S. S. Creations and directed by B. Gopal. It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Sarada, Rajani in the lead roles and music composed by Chakravarthy. The film was recorded as a Super Hit at the box office and remade as Hindi movie Kanoon Apna Apna (1989).[1]

Plot
The film begins on Collector Rama Kantha Rao (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) a stickler for law & order leads a happy family life with his ideal wife Lakshmi Devi (Sarada), son Ravi (Akkineni Nagarjuna) and daughter Jyothi (Varalakshmi). Here, always a rift arises between father & son as Ravi believes sometimes out of law can be initiated in order to justify the truth. Besides, a businessman Appa Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao) & his acolyte Eelimudrala Ellayah (Nutan Prasad) remorselessly carry-out their barbarities with their sons Kanna Rao (Sudhakar) & Chinna Rao (Surya) respectively; To which Collector hinders, when to thwart they bid to bribe him but fail. So, Ellayah contests in the election with the support of Appa Rao becomes Minister and determines to humiliate & crush the collector but he courageously persists. Parallelly, Ravi falls for Bharati (Rajani) sister his close friend Satyam (Subhaleka Subhakar). Satyam is a journalist and his father Srinivasa Rao (P. L. Narayana) is an editor of a newspaper who tries to expose the nefarious face of the Minister. Once, Satyam smokes out the flingings of the Minister when Kanna Rao & Chinna Rao slaughter him. Ravi witnesses the crime but the malefactors are acquitted with fake alibis. At that juncture, enraged Ravi stabs to kill them when Collector bars him and a clash ensues between them which makes Ravi leave the house. Right now, Collector starts a secret investigation and gathers the pieces of evidence against baddies. Thereupon, surprisingly, Ravi returns as a Police officer supports his father but they still move in their own paths. Thereafter, they unmask the Minister and downswings him from power. Begrudged Ellayah & gang attacks on Ravi in which, unfortunately, Jyothi dies. At last, Collector fuses with Ravi and ceases the culprits. Finally, the movie ends a happy note by Collector appreciating Ravi.
