Charley Hughlett

Robert Charles "Charley" Hughlett (born May 16, 1990) is an American football long snapper for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL).[1][2] He played college football at UCF.

Early life

Hughlett went to Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Florida.

Professional career

Dallas Cowboys

Hughlett signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2012. He was released on August 27, 2012 and was re-signed on January 7, 2013. He was released on May 29, 2013.

2014 (Patriots, Jaguars, Chiefs, Browns)

Hughlett was signed by the Patriots during the 2014 offseason and was later released and was signed by the Jaguars. He was released by the Jaguars on August 25, 2014 and was signed to the Patriots' practice squad on September 1, 2014, however was released two days later. He was signed to the Browns' practice squad on September 30, 2014 and was released a week later. He was later re-signed to the Patriots' practice squad and was released again. He was signed to the Chiefs' practice squad on December 17, 2014.

Cleveland Browns (second stint)

Hughlett was signed to the Browns active roster off the Chiefs' practice squad on December 24, 2014. In 2015, Hughlett played in all 16 games for the Browns handling all long-snapping duties. He resumed that role again in 2016 playing in all 16 regular-season games.

On February 16, 2017, Hughlett signed a six-year contract extension with the Browns.[3]
