Charles Yaldren

Charles Henry Yaldren (8 December 1891 – 23 October 1916) was an English first-class cricketer who represented Hampshire in one first-class match in 1912 against Cambridge University. In his only first-class innings Sparrow made eight runs and took a single wicket in the Cambridge innings.[1]

Yaldren served in the British Army during the First World War and joined the Lost Generation when he was killed in action at the First Battle of the Somme at Thiepval, Picardy, in northern France, on 23 October 1916. He was 24 years old at the time of his death.[1]
