Cascarots

The Cascarots (Basque: Kaskarotuak) are an ethnic group found in parts of the Basque Country.[1][2] Cascarots are descendants of marriages between Basques and Romani people.[3]

Historic documents mention the Cascarots living in ghettos, for example in Ciboure and occasionally entire villages such as the village of Ispoure.[4]
